“The Media Park is an essential place for artistic expression and creation, in a region where the creative fabric already exists and where talents merely need to be able to express themselves.”
“I direct an animation studio which produces full-length films in 3D. In 2005, we produced Pollux, which is a digital reworking of the famous adventures of the dog with the British accent and, amongst other projects, today we are working on a full-length animated film of the Wizard of Oz. We arrived in Marseille in 2000 and will probably join the Media Park this year.
We want to become a major European studio in our sector and chose the South of France after a lengthy investigation that, in particular, revealed that there is a real breeding ground for 3D creatives here. The culture of computer graphics artists in this area is perfectly supported by excellent training in the region.
So, opting for Marseille boiled down to harnessing the real strengths to be found there and, at the same time, encouraging the return of local talent who had moved to Paris through lack of work in Marseille. Further to this evaluation of assets, establishing ourselves at the Media Park is both beneficial in terms of the links forged with other professionals in image and sound and also strategic in terms of the media influence that the site can have on the Mediterranean area as a whole.
Synergies are inherent to this site. We only have to exploit and develop them. The Media Park is an essential place for artistic expression and creation in a region that is fundamentally creative. To us, it represents a real opportunity for development.”
